Hansen and Prosecutor Awards Print

P.F.F.I.A. recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of fire investigation and arson prosecution through two annual awards given by the organization:

The Harry Hanson Award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution toward advancing fire investigation in the State of Missouri.

The Prosecutor of the Year recognizes individuals who realize the impact arson can have in the community and have worked to bring those responsible for the act of arson to justice.

To All Members:

The Harry Hansen Award has not been given by the Association for several years now.  This award is presented to an investigator who has contributed to the Association and the fire investigation field above and beyond the call of duty.  Nominations for this award are received from members of the Association and reviewed by former recipients.  The Officers and Board of Directors wants this award to be given to an individual who is worthy and deserves the recognition for his or her efforts.

The Association also has Investigator of the Year and Prosecutor of the Year awards.  These have been few and far between.  Please recommend someone who has helped you through a tough case or has put in the extra mile for a tough arrest and conviction.

These awards are intended to recognize individuals who are dedicated to the field of fire investigation and arson prosecution.  This is a tough field and the extra work to get positive conclusions to cases takes a great deal of work.  These persons deserve a special recognition for their efforts and the Association will be honored to award that person.

Please submit all nominations for any of the award to Bill Zieres as soon as possible.
